Gaunt Collision Centres to Sponsor John Hunter Nemechek for
NCWTS Race at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park
Partnership includes deep family roots on and off the track
MOORESVILLE, NC – August 27, 2014 – NEMCO Motorsports announced today that its No. 8 Toyota Tundra driven by John Hunter Nemechek will be sponsored by Gaunt Collision Centres for the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park on Sunday August 31, 2014.
NEMCO Motorsports, which is operated by NASCAR Sprint Cup Series driver Joe Nemechek and his family, has been active in NASCAR for nearly 25 years has more than 28 wins on the NASCAR circuit. Today, father Joe and son, John Hunter, represent the team on the track racing in all three of NASCAR’s national series.
Likewise, Gaunt Collision Centre is family business with 30 years of experience specializing in automotive body repair operated by John Gaunt in Barrie, Ontario. John Gaunt and his family grew up around short track racing in Canada and have maintained a close connection to racing. John’s brother Marty, is president of Triad Racing Technologies, which successfully provides horsepower to NASCAR teams and exclusive services to Toyota Racing Development.
"Gaunt Collision Centres is honored to sponsor John Hunter Nemecheck and NEMCO at the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series only stop in Canada,” said Gaunt Collision Centre owner John Gaunt. “We know that owning a family business is a memorable opportunity. The Nemechek family has a long history within NASCAR and everyone at Gaunt Collision Centres is proud to partner with an organization that shares the passion to win, the drive to succeed and the dedication to do it right."
“Eldora and Mosport were two tracks that I had circled on my calendar that I really was looking forward to,” said John Hunter Nemechek. “We’re thankful to have the support of Gaunt Collision Centres and hope we can put on a good show for them this weekend. We’ve had great season so far but we’re still looking for that first top five with me behind the wheel. Road course racing is a blast. It’s a lot of fun turning left and right, plus shifting. I like tracks where you have to be spot on and it’s more of a technical track so hopefully Mosport will suit me and we can give Gaunt Collision Centres a good run in their backyard.”
The NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race is scheduled for 1:30 pm ET on Sunday August 31, 2014 and will be broadcast live on FOXSports1, MRN and Sirius/XM. For tickets and more information go to www.canadiantiremotorsportpark.com.
